Kathleen Swan, age 90, of Markesan, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024 at the Barrett House in Markesan.
Kathleen was born on August 29, 1934, the daughter of Bernard and Clara Dahl Guerin. She was a proud graduate of Irma High School. Kathleen’s commitment to her family was evident in the love she shared with her son Jeff Swan and daughter Lori Brown. She embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and warmth. Kathleen cherished her role as a mother and later as a grandmother to Logan Buss (girlfriend, Katie Brashears), Skyler Kastein, Holden Brown, and Grant Brown. Her heart swelled with joy as she welcomed three great-grandchildren: Madison Lee Buss, Layton Weinhold, and Violet Weinhold.
Throughout her life, Kathleen demonstrated her passion for community service. She volunteered at the city elections and was an active member of the Ladies' Aid, among numerous other volunteer positions. Her spirit of generosity and kindness touched many lives, and her dedication to uplifting those around her will be fondly remembered.
Kathleen found immense joy in spending time up north with her family, dining out, and enjoying quiet moments in her favorite chair while watching television. These cherished moments with loved ones defined her vibrant personality, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Preceding her in death is her devoted husband Edwin; along with her siblings: Dale and Duane Guerin, and Carol Strom.
