Kathleen Maria Tarsia, "Kathy", 80 of Milford, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025 at her home with her loving husband at her bedside. Kathy was born on September 9, 1945 in Bellevue Hospital Manhattan N.Y. to the late Philip and Marie Pantusco. She was the beloved wife of Anthony "Tony" Tarsia for over 50 years.
Kathy's life was a true testament to resilience, love, and joy. Though her beginnings were difficult, through hard work, determination, and an abundance of love, she built a beautiful life with her husband and daughter that she was exceptionally proud of. Kathy met the love of her life, Tony, 56 years ago at an Irish pub where he was performing. She joined Tony on tour with his musical group, traveling across the United States and around the world, during which time he even performed with Gloria Gaynor. Five years later, they married and began an incredible adventure together.
After years on the road, they bought their first home in Baybridge, Queens, before settling in
Milford, Connecticut, in 1990, where Kathy spent the rest of her days by the beach with Tony and their daughter, Ashlee.
Kathy had a bright, magnetic spirit that drew people to her wherever she went. Everyone who met her loved her, and she had a gift for turning acquaintances into lifelong friends. She often said she was "living the American dream," and she truly embodied it. Kathy loved hosting parties and cooking for family and friends, always ensuring that anyone who came to her home left with a full stomach and a happy heart. Above all else, she cherished her roles as a devoted wife and loving mother, showering her family with endless love, care, and pride.
In addition to her beloved husband Tony, Kathy is survived by their cherished daughter Ashlee Linette Tarsia, and her sisters Elaine and Donna and brothers Philip and Frankie. As well as many additional beloved family and friends. She is predeceased by her sister Patricia.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the compassionate care the doctors, nurses, and volunteers offered Kathy during her final years and hospice care. During this time her primary aid Marianne not only offered impeccable care but also formed a great friendship with Kathy that brightened her days.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford.
