Kathleen Marie Traughber, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at her home in Gallatin, Tennessee. Born on January 8, 1968, in Nashville, she was the daughter of Joyce Nelson Traughber and the late Michael Traughber. Kathleen's life was a tapestry woven with selflessness, kindness, and creativity.
Known for her generous spirit, Kathleen found joy in crafting and creating gifts for the people she loved. Her thoughtful gestures brought smiles and warmth to many, illustrating her deep commitment to those around her. She had a remarkable ability to make each person feel special, often going out of her way to ensure that others felt cherished and valued.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by the father of her child Timothy Scott; and nephew Landon Ventress.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Tara Scott, who was the center of her world; sisters, Amanda Adams and Margie Bowers; uncle, Tim Burgess. Kathleen was also a proud aunt to her nieces, Cindy Austin and Denise Adams. Additionally, she leaves behind her daughter's beloved cat, Boo, who provided companionship and love in her home.
As we remember Kathleen, we celebrate the light she brought into our lives and the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
