Kathleen Marie Valentine, (nee. Calmer), passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. She was surrounded by her loving family till the very end. Kathleen was born on July 23, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio to Elizabeth Joan Calmer and Edward Thomas Calmer.
Kathleen was an exceptional mother to her two daughters, Beth-Anne Valentine Hurlock (Josh) and Dianna Rose Valentine. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Wyatt Logan Thomas Hurlock and Leah Dayne Hurlock.
Kathleen's passions were many and varied. She was an avid camper and a nature lover who enjoyed hiking through the mountains. A proud member of the Olmsted Historical Society, Kathleen enjoyed spending countless hours sharing the history of Frostville Museum with the public, even donating her mother's WWII Naval Nurses dress uniform to be displayed.
To all who knew Kathleen, she was a caring and affectionate person with a heart full of love. Her kindness extended beyond close friends and family to her community where she spent much of her time volunteering. A loyal friend and confidante, she lent an ear whenever needed and would always offer words of comfort when times were tough.
Aside from immediate family members, Kathleen will also be missed by her brothers Daniel Calmer and Michael Calmer as well as legions of nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly.
As we say goodbye to Kathleen Marie Valentine today, let us remember the immense impact she had on all our lives during her time with us. Her contributions in the community will not be forgotten - Her legacy will live on forever through all whose lives she touched.
