Kathleen West, 61, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1961, in Bellevue, the daughter of Lester J. and Winona Marie (Orwig) Hill.
Kathy enjoyed helping and taking care of others. She spent the last 19 years as a nurses aide at Extended Family Assisted Living in Bellevue and before that, was a nurses aide at The Arbors at Clyde. She loved her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping and listening to music.
She married Lloyd F. West on March 31, 1979, in Sandusky, and he preceded her in death in Jan., 2022.
She is survived by her two sons, Timothy West and Christopher (Katherine) West; daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Griggs; grandchildren, Simara Fannin, Sophia West, Payton and Parker West, Tyler Griggs, Meagan Griggs, Alyssa Griggs, and Dominic Griggs; brother, Leslie (Chris) Hill; and sisters, Mary (Michael) Myers and Deborah (Daniel) Barbosa.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Hill; and sister, Janet Leber.
Friends will be received 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, until the time of Kathleen's funeral at 2 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A celebration of life will follow at Castalia Lions Club, 607 N Washington St., Castalia.
