Loomis Family Funeral Home - ApopkaWith heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn L. Craft, lovingly known as Kitte, who left this world on February 25, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on April 23, 1947, in Wilson, North Carolina.
Kathryn was a true Southern girl at heart, she was loving, kind, charming, smart, stylish, and quick-witted, with a personality that instantly put people at ease. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved, and she brought laughter and light wherever she went.
Above all else, Kathryn loved with her whole heart. Her family was her greatest joy, and one of the greatest blessings of her life was her children and grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. She cherished every moment spent with them. She also deeply loved her dear friends, her beloved Bible study group, and her faithful dog and cats, who brought her great comfort and joy. The relationships she nurtured throughout her life meant everything to her.
For more than ten years, Kathryn bravely battled cancer. Throughout her journey, she showed extraordinary strength, courage, and grace. She faced each challenge with dignity and resilience, remaining strong and faithful even in the most difficult moments. To her family, she was the strongest and bravest woman they have ever known.
She is survived by her beloved children, James Craft Jr “Zack” (Sharmon) and Eric Craft, Eliza Craft Suber “Hagan” (Brian); her eight cherished grandchildren Josh, Mason, Kody, Gentry, Becton, Arrington, Ryder, and Brayden; and her three sisters, Anita, Anne, and Alison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ned Laughinghouse and Dorothy Rose.
Though she is no longer with us, the love Kathryn gave and the memories she created will live on forever. Her faith, gentle spirit, and deep devotion to her family leave behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and grace that will continue for generations.
In the midst of our grief, we invite all who knew Kathryn to gather, share stories, and remember the joy and light she brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A service will be held on April 10 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Seminole Community Church, 5070 Orange Blvd, Sanford, FL.
