Mrs. Kathryn Corley Davis, age 82, of Covington, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born on June 29, 1943, in Covington to Herbert, Jr. and Ruth Corley, Kathryn spent a lifetime rooted in the community that shaped her, cherishing family and friends with unwavering devotion.

A proud 1961 graduate of Newton County High School, Mrs. Davis distinguished herself as an honors student who valued education and hard work. She dedicated much of her career to serving others, working as a skilled bookkeeper for Newton County Schools, Dr. Lisa Miller, and National Vision. Her professionalism and attention to detail were matched only by her kindness and warmth.

Mrs. Davis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She found her greatest joy in the company of her family, especially cherishing moments spent with her grandchildren. Her love and encouragement were a constant source of strength and comfort, and she was a steadfast supporter of her family, church, and friends.

A devoted member of Shiloh Methodist Church for many years, Mrs. Davis's faith was central to her life. She gave generously of her time and spirit, touching many lives with her compassion and grace.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Herbert, Jr. and Ruth Corley; her husband, Mickey Davis; her siblings, Faye Berry, Bob Corley, and Cindy Schell; and her grandchildren, Clyde Samuel Davis and Katie Leigh-Anne Hill. Their memories, along with Kathryn's, will be treasured always.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Mike Davis, Mandy Jones (Sonny), Marcy Floyd (Robbie), and Marty Hill (Ron); her grandchildren Allison Norman (Scot), Sam Jones (Liz), Mary Ruth Ayscue (Jon), Corley Davis, Tray Hill (Summer), Sandra Faye Campos (Rod), Jake Jones (Meredith), Alyssa McGlone (Dane), Amy Sutton (Casey), Ansley Floyd Cogburn (DJ), Michael Davis, Harrison Floyd, and Aaron Davis; her great grandchildren Boone, Noah, Kate, Lucy, Banks, Nolan, Haley, KatieBeth, Blakely, EvieMae, and Jones; her brother Bill Corley (Robin); along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Shiloh Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Wadley officiating. Interment will follow at Starr Corley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
