In loving memory of Kathryn Esther Hayes (Henke)

Kathryn passed on peacefully, in the company of her children and grandchildren, on April 30th 2024. She was born July 7th 1930 and was the last of eight children of William and Esther Henke. She grew up in Oxford, Michigan.

Kathryn was the beloved wife of Noble Earl Hayes, and had six children, the late Keith, Mike, Rick (Cindy), Lisa (Dave), Lynda (Tim), and Steve (Kristin). In addition, Kathryn was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Kathryn left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She was a pillar of faith, strength and compassion.  She was often called upon by friends and family for prayer on their behalf and was known to have a great connection to God.  She had a major impact on all of her grandchildren, some admitted that if it wasn’t for Grandma’s prayers and support, they may not have made it. Her life was a demonstration of the commandment to “Love One Another”.  She went back to school to earn her degree at a late age and enjoyed working, crocheting, bowling and life.  Her ‘forever smile’ will be missed greatly. Her desire would be for us to continue in the Unconditional Love she grew to know and share, and for us all to stay the course.

Rest in peace in the arms of our Savior, you are so profoundly missed and will always be in our hearts, thoughts and deeds. Thank you for blessing so many, may you enjoy your mansion.  Love you always.
