I worked with Kathryn briefly in the Atlanta AP bureau in the late 1970s and was completely in awe of her. She told fascinating stories that later ended up in her book. She was a role model and inspiration to women reporters at the AP. My condolences to her family.

I found the reading about Kathryn Johnson's journalistic influence of the Civil Rights Movement to be very inspiring. I feel that she played an influential role in the liberties that I enjoy today.
