It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn Jane Lloyd on March 1, 2026. Kathryn was loving, nurturing, and unapologetically herself. Even in darkness, she remained a constant light to those around her. Her kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on so many. Kathryn was an honorary mother to many and “Grandma Boo” to all of the little ones in her life.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Kathryn spent the first part of her life in Blue Springs, Missouri, until her family moved to Colorado in 1978. She married David Lloyd in 1984, and together they established their lives in Elizabeth, Colorado. Kathryn was passionate about many things, especially music and travel.
She is survived by her son, Justin, and her four stepchildren: Steve, Chris, Bridget, and Nicole, as well as her parents, John and Barbara. Kathryn was an amazing grandmother to 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her grace and love as a mother and grandmother will never be forgotten and were evident to all who had the privilege of witnessing and experiencing her care for her loved ones.
The family is taking this time to reflect fondly on memories and share stories of their time with her. We encourage all those whose lives she touched to do the same. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
