Kathy Ann Davis

One week ago today I suddenly and unexpectedly lost my dear and beautiful friend Kathy. Soon after we met we both knew that we would become and remain lifelong friends. What I didn't know then was that Kathy would be taken from us about 5½ years later.

She enjoyed the simple things in life and so we spent many days together talking, walking around the track at Washington junior high, sitting by the river, or just going to the dollar store or Walmart.

Kathy enjoyed music, particularly Tyrone Davis and Journey. She also had a great singing voice.

When I was homeless with nowhere else to go, she let me stay in the Aerostar until I got back on my feet. I tried many times to repay the favor, but her home was her home.

I saw Kathy in person most every day, and her absence had left a hollowness in my life, but I am grateful that out paths crossed and we became such good friends.

Rest in peace Kathy, you know I love you always.

You always were smiling no matter what was going on in your life, and I'm glad to have met you 8 years ago. We all could use more positivity and smile more often like you did!
