HUNTINGTON -Kathryn Dee Drysdale Emery, 72, passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on November 22, 2025.

Kathy was born on July 26, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Lesley Emery, her parents, Robert and Constance Voorhees, Dave's parents, James Emery and Pearl Kendrick, her grandma whom she loved dearly, Annie Virginia Winther, her younger brother David Drysdale and her great-granddaughter Molly Killpack.

Kathy is survived by her children, Virginia Ann (Tad) Reid of West Jordan, Utah, Constance Laura (Tommie) Craven, of Grand Junction, Colorado, David James (Christeil) Emery of Cataula, Georgia, Jessica Pearl Emery of Huntington, Utah, Charles Robert (Marcy) Emery of Pinedale, Wyoming, Mary Alice (Jeffrey) Plumb of Cedar City, Utah, Kathryn Elizabeth (Michael) Lundgren of Kemmerer, Wyoming, Lesley Jean (Rosco) Davis of Price, Utah, Joseph Roy Adam (Kammi) Emery of Kemmerer, Wyoming, and Mandy Voorhees of Price, Utah. All of whom are so grateful for the love and understanding she raised them with as they have used all she taught them to become the successful adults and parents they are today. Kathy is also survived by 50 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren all of whom loved and adored their fun balloon blowing, playdoh playing, story reading grandma.

Grandma was a title she took seriously as she spent her whole life ensuring each grandchild felt special and individually loved. She always made a visit to grandma's house, one to remember. Kathy and Dave met in 1970 at a little cafe. After 3 days they planned their life together and were married within a month. Later they were sealed as an eternal family in the Provo Temple in January of 1983. They enjoyed 53 years of friendship, heartache, joy, love, and laughter. Kathy lost the love of her life, Dave, 2 years ago and is now happily reunited with her eternal companion. Kathy will be missed by everyone in her life, especially her grown children who have relied on their mama's love and experience to guide them through life's many twists and turns. Although she is no longer a phone call away, everything she was lives on in each of her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she lived by the words in John 13:1 "That ye love one another; as I have loved you".

Funeral service, Saturday, November 29, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Huntington First Ward Chapel (115 South 400 East) in Huntington. Family will receive friends at the church Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Huntington City Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Huntington and Price where friends and family are always welcome daily and may share memories of Kathy online at www.mitchellfunealhome.net. The family requests that money not be spent on flowers (Kathy disliked watching flowers die) but rather donated to the charity of your choice or toward Kathy's funeral costs.
