Katherine Coe Fugatt, affectionately known as Kathy, was born on September 13, 1952, in Dalton, Georgia. She passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, in Woodstock, Georgia, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories. Kathy's career spanned more than three decades at ADP, where she worked tirelessly in tech support. Her dedication and work ethic were evident to all who knew her. She embraced life with zeal, finding joy in the simplest pleasures, especially when it involved family and friends. Family was the cornerstone of Kathy's existence. She delighted in providing for her loved ones, from shopping sprees that she often took them on to the thoughtful gifts she always had ready during the holidays. Her culinary talents shone brightly as she cooked meals with love, ensuring that no one left her home hungry or without a smile. As a proud grandmother, she attended every grandchild's event throughout their upbringing, showing her unwavering support and encouragement. Kathy's love for family extended to the tradition of beach trips every Fourth of July, a time filled with laughter, sun, and togetherness. Her vivacious spirit was matched by her creativity; Kathy enjoyed attending singing events like The Joyful Noise and any good old fashioned Southern Gospel singing. She found solace in the musical stylings of the Gaither Vocal Band and Elvis Presley. She had an undeniable love for Southern gospel music and enjoyed spending peaceful evenings watching the Lifetime Movie Network, captivated by mysteries and heartwarming Christmas tales. As a dedicated church member and active Christian, Kathy found joy in her faith and the community surrounding it. She was proud of her accomplishments, including serving as a councilwoman for the City of Chamblee, Georgia, which she was very proud of. Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, David Fugatt; her daughters, Salisa Whitmire and Sharon Ledford; her son, Greg Fugatt; her sons-in-law, Joey Whitmire and Tim Ledford; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Fugatt; and her grandchildren, Tiffany Elzey, Matthew Fugatt, Amber Affleck, Lauren Wray, Collin Whitmire, Ashley Graham, Caden Whitmire, and Carter Whitmire. She also leaves behind her grandchildren-in-law, Bryan Elzey, Elizabeth Fugatt, and Nick Wray. Kathy's joy multiplied with her twelve beloved great grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness. She is also survived by her sisters: Sue Fugatt, Hersteen Miller, and Linda Wacholz; her brother, Allin Coe; and her sister-in-law, Jan Coe. She was preceded in death by her dear brothers-in-law, Micheal Fugatt and David Miller. The heart of Kathy will continue to beat in the memories of her loved ones, in the homes she filled with laughter, and in the lives she touched with her kindness. A funeral service to celebrate her remarkable life will be held at 2:00pm on June 28, 2025, at Little River Methodist Church in Woodstock, Georgia. Kathy's radiant spirit and devotion to family will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. She will forever remain an integral part of the hearts of those she loved so deeply.
