Kathy Hix Obituary
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Kathy devoted her life to showing God's love to others, especially children. She worked as a librarian who loved to read and was a joyful member of the church choir, where she praised God through song.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Dr. Alan Hix; her daughter, Kelly Johnson (Ben); grandchildren, Aria, Lydia, and Beau; and her sisters, Susan Simms (Peter) and Katie Woodring (Jeff). She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Frances Kelly.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 5 pm at Pisgah Baptist Church in Rome. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the donation of memorial Bibles through Gideon's International.
