Kathy HOOKE Obituary

July 6, 1951 - June 11, 2025

Spokane - Kathy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband, daughter, grandchildren, and friends. She fought cancer and dementia until the end.

Kathy was born in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1969. Kathy and Rick were married in 1969 and were to celebrate 56 years together in October. Kathy and Rick welcomed their children in Spokane and shared many years together as a family.

Kathy will always be remembered for being a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. Her passions in life included physical fitness, gardening, devotion to her family, and holiday celebrations. She will always be remembered by her loving husband, daughter, and grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Rick; daughter, Jodi Guin (John); son-in-law, Lincoln Trujillo; grandchildren, Lucas Guin (Hope), Emma Guin (Max), and Ava Trujillo; sister, Pam Emery (Bill); and brothers, Mike Morford (Patsy) and Jeff Morford (Terri). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Trujillo; and her brothers, Dennis Morford and Bill Morford.

Special thanks to Hospice of Spokane and the wonderfully kind staff at Vineyard Park at South Hill.

In keeping with Kathy's wishes, her family will honor her privately.

Rick, I wish to express to you and your family my deepest condolences. I remember fondly watching your girls when they were young when you and Kathy would go out on a date night. May God give you comfort in knowing Kathy is now in the arms of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Sending you my love and prayers. Karen Blanchette Hoadley (Gilbert's daughter)
