Kathy was the cherished daughter of Donald (Jim) Rashott and the late Margaret (Vater) Rashott. Her roots in Standish ran deep, and she carried the lessons and love from her hometown throughout her life. A proud graduate of the Standish schools, class of 1976, she carried the spirit of her community with her in every endeavor.

Kathy's professional life was marked by a profound commitment to service. She enjoyed her work at the Chippewa Tribal Center. She spent countless years tending to the needs of the elderly, offering them not just care but companionship and dignity. Her selflessness and dedication to those in her charge were the hallmarks of her career.

Beyond her professional life, Kathy was a woman of many passions. She was a master of crafts, her hands always busy creating something beautiful and meaningful. Her love for cooking and baking was legendary, and her kitchen was a place of warmth and laughter. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, a doting grandmother to her grandson Xavier, and a respected mother-in-law to Philip. She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret, her grandparents, and her daughter Kristen, whom she missed every day.

Kathy's absence will be felt deeply by all who knew her. The world was a brighter place with her in it, and her memory will continue to inspire those she left behind. Her thoughtful nature, creative spirit, and generous heart have left an indelible mark on the hearts of her loved ones.
