Kathy Kellogg Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 2, 2025.
Kathy Ann Kellogg, 73, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by family in her home in Lecompton. She was born on November 30, 1951 in Hutchinson, KS. Kathy was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in late June of 2025. The family is grateful for the time spent after the devastating diagnosis.

Kathy and her husband Charles (Chuck) had a first date that never ended and were married for 51 years. Kathy moved in with Chuck after a unique first date to the horse races in a VW van and the family often jokes that Kathy was so beautiful that Chuck knew he needed to act fast to lock that down. They then had Jason, 50, of Berryton, KS and Julie, 46, of Shawnee, KS. Family was the most important thing to Kathy and they were the center of her world.

Kathy touched so many lives and was truly one of the kindest, caring, friendly and non-judgmental people you'd ever meet. She wanted to know everyone's story and encouraged others to love and welcome people in at all costs. The support the family has felt from family, friends, the motocross community and beyond is truly awesome.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Chuck, son Jason (Sarah) Kellogg, daughter Julie (Grady) Breithaupt, grandchildren Taylor, Evan, Mia, Reese, a number of relatives she was very close with and a beloved cat that requires very specific food flavors, Kokomo.

Kathy was preceded in death by her Mother, Wanda McCord, her grandparents and several other family, friends and pets we know she's excited to see again.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 9 from 5-7 p.m. and services will be Friday, October 10 at 10:30 a.m. Both will be held at the Lecompton United Methodist Church.
