Born on September 3, 1941, to Alice Carter and Max A. Houston, Kathy Knorr lived a life filled with devotion to Christ Jesus, love of family, and boundless kindness. Growing up with her three brothers, George, Bob, and Bill, in Wichita, she cherished the adventures they shared - boating, traveling, family time in Carlsbad New Mexico, fishing, and creating cherished memories.  Kathy attended Dobbs Ferry Boarding School in New York and Colorado University in Boulder.  A sports enthusiast, Kathy mastered tennis, Pilates, skeet shooting, and fishing.

Kind-hearted, generous, and perpetually positive, Kathy's exuberance for life knew no bounds. She possessed a deep passion for caring for others, always offering a warm smile, and encouraging words. Her unwavering spiritual foundation illuminated her every endeavor, touching the lives of those around her with love and grace.

Throughout her life, Kathy epitomized the true essence of service, demonstrating a servant's heart by caring for others until her final days. Many regarded her as a second mother, evidence of her nurturing spirit.

Kathy's profound appreciation for the arts extended to her personal pursuits of watercolor painting, photography, and piano playing, as well as her involvement in organizations like Mark Arts and the Wichita Music Club.

Active in the Wichita community, Kathy found joy in participating in various events. As a longtime member of the Junior League, she cherished her role in creating their renowned cookbook. Additionally, her membership in the DAR allowed her to indulge in her passion for researching Kansas patriots.

A devout member of the Second Church of Christ Scientist, Kathy found solace and strength in her faith, diligently walking in God's word every day.

Kathy was preceded by her parents, Alice and Max Houston; daughter, Alice Knorr; brothers, George Houston and Bill Houston; and sister-in-law, Margaret Houston.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Edward Sullivan; granddaughters, Anna Katharine Sullivan and Ellie Sullivan; brother, Bob Houston; sisters-in-law, Ruth Houston and Susan Houston; niece and husband, Kristine and Marshall McCallum; nephews and wives, Bob and Ashley Houston and Jon and Amanda Houston, and their children.
