Kathy Suzanne Leavitt
January 5, 1957 – September 29, 2025
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Kathy Suzanne Leavitt, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on January 5, 1957, in Choteau, Montana, to Gerald R. and Eunice Mary Stott.
Kathy was raised in Fairfield, Montana, where she graduated from Fairfield schools. She was one of four children and is preceded in death by her brothers Gary, Kent, and Stephen, and is survived by her brother Greg.
A talented and meticulous seamstress and tailor, Kathy dedicated her life to creating, repairing, and beautifying the world around her. Her work was marked by precision, care, and a desire to help others—qualities that reflected her generous and loving spirit.
On May 11, 1978, Kathy married Earl M. Leavitt in Alberta, Canada. Together they built a life founded on love, faith, and service. They were blessed with three children:
Michael G. Leavitt (born February 11, 1979, in Provo, Utah) and his wife Kathleen “Katie” M. Bradford. Tiffany S. Leavitt (born November 15, 1981, in Casper, Wyoming; passed away May 2, 1982). Charles Marcus Eric “Bones” Leavitt (born May 10, 1989, in Henderson, Nevada) and his wife Janet M. Leavitt
Kathy found her greatest joy in being a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Theron “Tea” Michael Leavitt, Lavena “Mikey” Raya Leavitt, Charley K. S. M. “Bugs” Leavitt, Pepper L. T. M. “Roo” Leavitt, Katie B. R. M. “Kat” Leavitt, and Ruby L. E. M. “Bird” Leavitt.
Kathy will be remembered for her boundless compassion and her unwavering faith. She had a gift for finding people in need and helping them, for ensuring that every task was done with care and integrity, and for living her beliefs through quiet acts of love and service. She loved reading the scriptures, crafting, building, sewing, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Kathy’s legacy of kindness, diligence, and devotion will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service celebrating Kathy’s life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Spring Creek Mortuary, 737 North Main Street, Springville, Utah 84663.
