Memorial services for Kathy Jean Tawater Rewolinski of Tacoma, Washington will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Beulah Baptist Church , Farmerville, Louisiana with Kelly Doster officiating and reading scriptures. Relatives and friends will share a special memory of Kathy.

With her family by her side, Kathy Rewolinski gained her angel wings October 25, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 1, 1957 to Melvin Tawater and Ruby Jean Doster Tawater. She graduated from Farmerville High School in 1975. Shortly after her graduation and receiving encouragement from a friend, she accepted a job in Alaska. There she met her love, Chance Rewolinski, and married him January 19, 1979. Together they traveled to many locations for work, education, and adventure. Chance and Kathy have two children, a son, John Colin Rewolinski and a daughter, Holly Christine Rewolinski.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Tawater and her father and mother in-law, John and Ann Rewolinski.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Chance Rewolinski, son, John Colin Rewolinski and daughter-in-law, Brandi Elizabeth and children Tyler Spears and Aaliyah Beth Rewolinski, daughter, Holly Christine Rewolinski and fiancé, Logan Spears, mother, Ruby Jean Doster Taylor, brothers, Keith Tawater and wife Donna, Mazion Pepper and wife Gaynell, sisters, Nancy Suzonne Linder Price, and Twyla Kaye Tawater, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Kathy was a kind and loving person. She went out of her way to say something kind to everyone. She especially liked talking to her family and friends. She loved her family, God, the ocean, traveling, and her dog Izzy. She liked driving in her car and listening to music. She did not want to have a list of stuff she did in her life, but she loved you all and wants to be remembered for that.

The family would like to express special thanks to Ruby Jean Doster Taylor for being so attentive and caring to her daughter during her illness. We appreciate all the family members and friends that supported Kathy on Facebook, phone calls, sending texts and cards.
