Kathy Simonton Obituary
She was proceeded in death by her brother Michael Smallwood, her Husband Joe Simonton, her mother Rachel "Peggy" Smallwood, her Son Rodney Ratterree, and many other loved ones.
She is survived by her Father C.C. "Shem" Smallwood, Son Joey Ratterree (fiancé Tiffany Chambers), Son Jeremy Ratterree (wife Chasity Ratterree), and Daughter Emily Hamner (husband Chris Hamner). She is also survived by several grandkids, great grandkids, aunts, and cousins.
Kathy always stood strong in her faith as a firm believer in Christ Jesus. Throughout her years, she has been a member of Christian Fellowship Church of Decatur Georgia, Trinity Worship Center / Christ Culture Center Cumming Georgia, and Freedom Tabernacle Cumming Georgia. She was blessed to have made many lifelong friends over the years from these places.
Her family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Northside Hospital – Forsyth and Accent Care Hospice for their outstanding and heartfelt care throughout Kathy's last months with us. Please post any photos and / or memories you have with Kathy on her memorial page below, as the family would like to look back on these.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 18th, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, and on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 from 10:30am - 12:30pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Freedom Tabernacle in Cumming, Georgia on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at 1:00pm, with a graveside service on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at 11:00am at Georgia National Cemetery In Canton, Georgia.
