Katie W. Ellis passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, in Lanexa, VA. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Katie's warmth and kindness were evident in her love for reading romance novels and her passion for thrifting, always finding joy in discovering hidden treasures. She cherished the moments spent watching her grandchildren play in the river, their laughter and energy bringing her immense joy.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Connie L. Ellis, and her dear grandson, Jordan Kendrick, Katie leaves behind a loving family who will miss her deeply. She is survived by her daughters, Victoria Kendrick, Deborah (Scott) Bunting, Karen Wilkinson, and Tracy (Eben) Thomas. Her brother, Bradsher "Dink" Wilson, also survives her, along with eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A celebration of Katie's life will be held at a later date, where her family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Katie's name to the Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg, an organization that provided comfort and support in her final days.

Katie's gentle spirit and unwavering love will be forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
