Katie Grandell Obituary
Katie was born in Elkton, MD. She attended Elkton High School, class of 2003 where she excelled in softball and field hockey. She was living in Greenville, NC for the last eight years but remained a devoted Eagles fan.
Katie is survived by her children, Jared, Ashlynn, Isabella, Conor, Cali, and Carson. They were her greatest joy, and she loved them with her whole heart.
She also leaves behind her mother, Darnel Grandell; sisters, Christine Colihan (James), Carrie Brockell (Rick), and Amy Landua (Jon); and niece and nephew, Peyton and Ricky Brockell.
Her free spirit, fun-loving nature, and warm heart will be deeply missed by everyone who was touched by her humor, generosity, and genuine care for others.
A memorial service to honor Katie's life will be held later. The family appreciates your understanding and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to hold your loved ones close and consider donating to a charity of your choice in Katie's memory. Her legacy of kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

My heart breaks hearing of Katie´s passing. I have such fond memories of growing up with Katie; playing field hockey together, hanging out with our girlfriends in middle school and high school, going to dances, and her visits to Villa Julie. Katie was always a free spirit, making those around her smile and laugh. I can picture her smile right now.
I am sending all of my love and prayers to the Grandell family during this incredibly difficult time.

I met Katie in middle school and through the cherry hill cougars as we cheered together. She always knew how to make others laugh. She had a good heart and she was a good friend throughout middle school and high school. Playing field hockey and softball with Katie we were both competitors who excelled together as a team. I have so many fond memories of Katie. I´ll always smile thinking of our time as great friends. I have the Grandells in my heart and prayers. Xo leigh geary
