Katie Moss

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved Momma Kate, who departed this life on November 30, 2025, at the age of 88. She leaves behind a legacy filled with faith, devotion, and the kind of love that stretches across generations.

Born on May 3, 1937, Momma Kate lived a life rooted in God's grace. She was the heartbeat of our family, the foundation that steadied us, the light that guided us through every storm, and the center of a home built on compassion, strength, and unwavering faith. She was more than a mother or grandmother she was our sanctuary, our comfort, and the anchor that held us together.

She is survived by her loving children: Earl Moss, Jr., Earline Moss, Patricia Moss, Rita Shoemaker, and Katie Bryant. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, each one a testimony to the beautiful legacy she created.

She was deceased by her parents Virgil and Katie Culipher, sisters Lucille, Pauline, and Della, and brother Buddie.

Throughout her 88 years, Momma Kate loved God deeply and lived her life as a reflection of His goodness. Her kindness was gentle but powerful, her wisdom steady, and her presence a source of comfort to all who knew her. She didn't simply raise a family, she shaped a lineage. The lessons she taught and the love she gave will continue to guide us for generations to come.

Funeral services will be held at Culpepper Funeral Home, 3434 North Liberty Street, Canton, Mississippi, on December 2, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Lottville Cemetery.
