Katy's warmth and generosity touched many lives. She had a remarkable ability to brighten any day with her stories. We used to talk and show pictures of our pets, she really loved her cats Packer and Perrin!
Katy was supportive of her team and was always ready to lend a hand or share thoughtful advice, she will be dearly missed by all. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

I´m an exchange student from Malaysia on a working holiday in the United States. I had the privilege of working at Charlie B Restaurant and Pub, where Katy was not just my manager but also a wonderful mentor. Katy was a hardworking leader, a kind big sister, and always had a beautiful smile that could brighten anyone's day.

One of my most cherished memories with Katy is how we´d end our work shifts together. After a long day, we´d have heartwarming chats, say goodnight, and clock out alongside our lovely colleague, Neil. Those simple moments are now some of the most precious memories I hold dear.

I'll always think of Katy whenever I go for a manicure or pedicure. My first experience was with her-we had a girls' day out in Burlington, visiting our usual shop, Blossom Nails Salon, having a meal, and doing grocery shopping at the Asian Market. She also introduced me to snowshoeing at Maple Woods, on a lovely afternoon. Knowing I was used to the tropical climate, she made sure I was bundled up in seven layers to keep me warm. Another unforgettable time was when we stayed over at her mom Janet´s house. Janet made the best Italian meatballs and pasta I've ever had, while Katy introduced me to my first s'mores during the winter.

Katy was one of the kindest souls I´ve ever known. Thank you, Katy, for being such a significant presence in my life. I will hold you in my heart until we meet again one day.

With love,

I first met Katy when she arrived at Topnotch as one of our team leaders. She had such wonderful energy and dedication to the hospitality industry. These traits were only matched by her compassion for her team and desire to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
Watching Katy face service challenges and rising to meet, learn from and develop new skills on her career path was wonderful to see. To have lost such a joyful, caring person has impacted us all. My most sincere condolences to all of those of you who had the privilege on being a part of her life and who those who were impacted by her time with us.
Warmly,
Jeremy Fraize
