Kavita Bakshi

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Kavita Bakshi (née Dutta), affectionately known as "Rosy," on Sunday, September 8, 2024, a beacon of light and warmth in the lives of many. Born on October 20, 1968, in New Delhi, Delhi, India, Kavita spent the last twenty-five years of her life in Old Bridge, New Jersey, where she wove a life rich in love, joy, and grace.
As the eldest of 3 daughters, her sisters Shikha and Pooja watched her grow up with a talent for singing, cooking, teaching and a passion for all things beauty. She married her husband Kuldeep, also known as Deep or Deepi, in 1989 at the age of 20 and had a daughter that she named Deepika, named after combining both her and her husband's names together. She graduated with a Masters degree in Economics and after getting married, moved to the UK and eventually America. She came to the States with big dreams of wanting to learn cosmetology and more than anything provide a happy and healthy home for her daughter and family. She ran a successful beauty business for many years while raising a family, traveling all over Europe, and creating a beautiful household in the suburbs of New Jersey. Her skills were vast and there was no end to her talent, she had learned about computers, web design, photography, improved her singing, co-hosted a radio show, owned her own business among many other achievements she had in life. Most of all, her giving spirit was unmatched. She loved her family deeply and would spare no effort in sharing the joyful experiences she had in the States with them, often showing up with lavish gifts and stories to entertain for days. Even in her latter years, she always unequivocally loved her family and dreamed of a day where her entire family would come together and laugh and reminisce about her many adventures. She was the most beautiful rose in the garden and her soul the light that not only allowed her to flourish but also brightened those around her as well. There will never be another like her.
