LIMA -- Kay J. Boley, 91, died on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Lochhaven Apartments, Lima, and went to be with her Savior in Heaven.
She was born on February 5, 1934, in Van Wert County to Samuel R. and Irene N. (Dibert) Galloway, who preceded her in death. On October 9, 1954, in Van Wert County, she married Harold E. Boley, who died January 19, 2023, after 68 loving years.
Mrs. Boley was a 1952 graduate of York Local School in Van Wert County. She was a homemaker and worked for 18 years in the office at BP Chemical. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple and its Masterbuilders class. Following retirement in 1988, she and her husband served the Lord, traveling extensively for more than 12 years, working with SOWERS, Christian RV Volunteers. Later winters were spent in Davenport, FL.
She loved the Lord, her family, traveling, and music, having served throughout her life playing piano and organ at church and for many years singing in the choir.
Survivors include two daughters, Cherilyn (Craig) Zuber of Elida, Brenda (Bill) Thorsby of Ladson, SC, and one son-in-law, Tim Maas of Fort Jennings; six grandchildren, Laura (Josh) Hertenstein of St. Marys, Diane (Jim) Mason of Mt. Blanchard, David (Julianna) Zuber of Lima, and Jason Sevitz, Tyler Thorsby, and Trevor (Harley) Thorsby all of South Carolina.
She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way. She is also survived by two sisters, Jane (Bill) Seiling of Lima, and Janet McCormick of Naples, FL, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death a daughter, Kris Maas, a grandson, Bryan Sevitz, and a sister, Jackie Muter.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Lima Baptist Temple, 982 Brower Rd, Lima, OH 45801. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be at Elida's Greenlawn Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, and again from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5th, before the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Christian School, 982 Brower Rd, Lima, OH 45801.

Kay was loved by her family and friends and will be fondly remembered for her grace, her dignity and love of God. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants." Psalm 116:15 Kay will be missed.
