This breaks my heart, Kay was a very special lady and sweet friend. She loved the shag dance and worked for many years on Columbia Shag Club and The SC Shaggers Hall of Fame committees. We had lots of fun traveling to the beach together. She will be missed but I know she has happy feet now in heaven with so many of our shag friends. I bet Phil Sawyer was one of the first to greet her, I just love that thought.. Rest in peace my sweet friend.

Kay was a very nice person and enjoyed seeing her at shag parties in Columbia and at the beach. May see rest in peace.

I am so surprised and saddened by the news of Kay's passing. I did not know she was that ill, though I knew she had some health problems a couple of years ago. I guess Heaven needed more shaggers and Kay could fill the void. She had a host of them to greet her and I know she was happy about that. My condolences go to her family and friends. She was a very unique person and will be missed by so many.
