Sorry to read of Kay's passing. She and I grew up in the same apartment complex in Virginia and though I was 7 years younger than her we would put on neighborhood plays and make all the parents come and watch---Dee Ann Kokal also grew up in the apartment comples and was also in all of our plays. Such fun it was. Also, Kay was a majorette with the high school band and though I was only about 9 at the time, she taught me many twirling tricks and it later lead me to also be a majorette with the Virginia High School Band. We didn't see each other as we married and raised our families --we moved out of the area-- but had contact through others who did, so kept up with all the children they raised and the work they did on their farm. They were a hard working good family.
