Kay Huneycutt Obituary
Kay Frances Huneycutt, 80, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 in Oakboro.
Kay was born June 27, 1942 in North Carolina to the late Walter Reece Helms and the late Ruby Benton.
She was also preceded in death by husband, James Wayne Huneycutt.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Eddie Barbee. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.
Kay was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated worker and put her heart into whatever she was doing. Kay was a life-long member of West Oakboro Baptist Church. She loved her family, and most of all her Lord and Savior with whom she is now in the presence of for all eternity.
Survivors include son, Randy (Paula) Huneycutt, grandchildren, Randi (Ken) Covington and Jessica (Jamerson) Mosby; great-grandchildren, Gavyn and Braylon Covington, Julian and Juliet Mosby.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanly County Humane Society ( http://www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org ), or Stanly County Animal Rescue, 702 Arlington Avenue, Albemarle, NC 28001.
