Dear Starr,
I felt a great sense of loss when I heard of your mother's passing. I wanted to let you know that you have my greatest sympathy, and my heart is truly saddened.
Kaye was a soror and friend of mine from Penn State. She was more than just a wonderful person; she was always so kind and always had a funny story to share.
Please know that her passing will not only leave a void in your life, but in the hearts of all those who knew her.
If there is anything that I can do to help you in anyway, please do not hesitate to contact me.
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rest in Peace Miss Kaye. You were very kind and a colleague to my mother, Cheryl. I remember spending time with you when you briefly lived in, State College. You were like an Aunt to me; very endearing most of all a beautiful and strong spirit.

Dear Starr,
You are so amazing! Your mother was able to go peacefully home to glory because she knew that you are strong, focused, beautiful and determined. And, she knew that many, many, many people will help you, nurture you and walk this journey with you.
I am here for you. I lost my mother recently, so I know much of what you are going through. God Bless.

Dear Starr,
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. I too am a soror of Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Penn State, and although I never had the pleasure of meeting you,she always conveyed to us that you was the light of her life.
If there is anything that I can do to assist you in any way please do not hesitate to contact me.
My deepest sympathy.

Dear Starr,Cliff,&Cheryl,
I send my love and blessings to all of you. Kaye was like a sister to me in all of our experiences together from Philly, Penn State, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and California. A piece of my free spiritness will be missing now that Kaye is dwelling within the house of our lord.
Starr, you can honor your mom by realizing your academic goals. Attending a 4 year college, and of course pledging Delta, would make your mom smile knowing that you would be prepared for much of what you will encounter in life. Please don't hesitate to call me about anything.
Starr, know that you are loved. Your Aunt Donna

Dear Starr,
We here in Philadelphia were so sad to hear of your mother's illness and subsequent death. She was one of our memorable sorors in the Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Penn State.
She could make you laugh at her dramatic flare for relating an incident, and there was always something special with her art that made you happy to see her work.
She will be missed by many but especially by you,so it is important that you remember all of the great things she imparted to you and that you have only to let her sorors know your needs and someone will be there for you.
Sincerely,
Celeste
