I´m so sorry to hear about your loss. A loss for many of us. She was a wonderful, kind, loving and caring person. May God bring the family peace.

Kaye was, in some ways, a surrogate Mom for me when I moved to Charleston to work for the NTHP in 1991. She was so thoughtful and helpful...and the very best at what she did in the Southern Office and at the National Preservation Conference each year. She loved her family and her "fine young southern staff," and we were all better for having her in our lives.
Bless you K-Bird.

I'm so sorry to hear of Kaye's passing. I greatly enjoyed working with her as part of the conference team at the Trust. The conference attendees who came back every year really enjoyed seeing her smiling face and welcoming manner as well. Kaye will be missed, she was a valued colleague and friend.

When I moved from New York to DC to work for the Trust, I immediately noticed the slow and considerate conversations that occurred when I interacted with Kaye and the other fine folks in the Charleston office. It took some maturity and wisdom to see that when Kaye was spending those extra ten minutes asking me about my life before getting down to official business she was actually showing me the care and dignity that a human being is worth. What a remarkable gift from such a lovely colleague. Praying for all of Kaye´s family and friends.

Kaye was always such a delight to work with on NTHP Conferences. I loved hearing her stories and she taught me to always be prepared in places you don't know. She loved her family so much, and I'm so sorry she is gone.

Kaye was such a strong, kind, thoughtful, sweet, funny, hard working, a fighter, and most of all a loving friend to me over the years and I thank God that she was a part of my life!
My deepest condolences and prayers go out to Wendell and her family as they learn to navigate the rest of their lives without her loving guidance.
May you rest in heavenly peace now, Kaye. No more illness and pain for you are walking hand in hand with our great Creator.
I can't promise that I'll never miss you, but I can promise to never forget you, Friend! I love and will miss you forever!
With Sympathy and Love
