Kaye Griepentrog Obituary
Kaye was born on December 28, 1961, in Columbus, the daughter of Harold and Myrtle (Wendt) Korth. She married Steve Griepentrog on May 13, 1989, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo and the couple enjoyed 35 years of marriage. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School. Kaye loved exercising; she walked 2 miles every day, and participated in many 5k walks. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, bird watching and feeding, watching the Packers, and working on puzzles. Kaye had a heart of gold; she loved to make others happy and always had a positive attitude. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Kaye is survived by her husband, children Corey and Kyle Griepentrog, siblings Barbara DeBussey, Jefferey (Kathy) Korth, Mary (Tim) Harris, her mother-in-law Nancy Griepentrog, brothers-in-law Scott (Ellen) Griepentrog, and Dennis (Amber) Griepentrog Jr. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her aunt Louise, and brothers-in-law Douglas Fietz and Terry DeBussey.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2025, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo with Pastor Andrew Meyer presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
