Kayla Couch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Inc. - Madisonville on May 24, 2025.
Kayla Grace Couch, of Madisonville, passed away 11:22 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025 at home. Kayla is forever 16. She was a cheerleader at Sequoyah High School, a member of the Monroe County Rescue Squad and attended Madisonville Church of God. Kayla was passionate about life a shining example of what it means to truly be a cheerleader. School spirited? 100 percent. Kayla loved her Chief Nation and you could count on her cheer voice to be THE loudest on the sidelines. Energetic? Well, that's an understatement. This kid had a fire that is unmatched. Dedication? Not one single time was Kayla going to miss a chance to put on that cheer uniform and do her thing. Leadership? Kayla was a take charge gal. She would build you up with encouragement and call you out, all in an effort to help you see your potential. Kayla was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, teammate, classmate, and friend. Amazing, strong, and a beautiful soul who inspired and influenced us all. She will forever be our guardian angel. We never knew what true bravery looked like until we saw it in Kayla. Kayla would want each person touched by her love to carry on her spirit. Share a smile with someone! Be the friend others need! Through the grief, cherish those awesome memories our hero gifted us! In Kayla's words, "You got this!" Kayla was preceded in death by grandpa, Ronnie Taylor; uncle, Kevin Kiser and several grandparents. Survivors: parents, Crystal and Jason Taylor; siblings, Amberleigh and Raylyn; parents, Michael and Amanda Couch; siblings, Brycen, Savannah and Nolan; grandparents, Darlene and Rodney Cranfield, Randy Watson, Tim Rogers, Barbara Taylor, Leslie Strickland, Bruce and Margaret Couch, Ricky and Jeannie Strickland, Neil and Barbara Keyt; aunts and uncles, Brittany McGrail, Angie and Casey Breen, Josh and Kayla Jackson, Kaity Watson, Mandi Johnson, Dwight and Gen Taylor, Cindy and Tim Wiliams, Josh Couch, Chris Couch, Anthony, Sammy, Angie and Chris Keyt; great-grandmother, Barbara Reed; many cousins and special friends.
