Kayleigh Marie Blackburn, Our Little Ray of Sunshine, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025. She was born on March 7, 2002, in Durham, North Carolina, to Johnny Blackburn, Jr., and Heather Addeo Blackburn.
Kayleigh graduated in 2020 from Northwood High School in Pittsboro, NC. It was in high school that she learned she loved photography. Kayleigh would photograph for the yearbook and events. She then went on to Strawbridge to be an editor, which inspired her to open her own photography business.
Kayleigh loved to travel, especially to the mountains, where she would take beautiful photos. She was also a true dog lover. Kayleigh enjoyed race cars and going to the Orange County Speedway. She also enjoyed going to Durham Bulls games.
Kayleigh was very funny and always wanted to make someone’s day better. She looked forward to spending time with her younger cousins, Gabby, Kodi, and Jordan. Kayleigh’s bright smile and warm heart will be forever missed by everyone blessed to have known her.
Kayleigh is survived by her mother, Heather Blackburn; father, Johnny Blackburn, Jr.; sister, Alexus Blackburn (Talik); paternal grandparents, Johnny Blackburn, Sr. (Brenda); maternal grandmother, Gladys Andrews; aunt, Sally Arguello (Gabe) Elizabeth (David) Jennifer Uncles; Chris and Charles (Heather A. ), and numerous loving cousins and friends.
