With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Keith T. Adams, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and dedicated musician, who left this world on December 13, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on October 2, 1932, in Lockland, Ohio, but raised on the family farm in Kentucky. Keith's journey through life was marked by his indomitable spirit, his love for God, and a love for bluegrass music that resonated deeply within him.
Keith spent 35 fulfilling years as an assembler inspector at GE Aerospace, exemplifying the work ethic and commitment that defined his character. His steadfast dedication to his craft was matched only by his devotion to God, his family and community.
A faithful member of the Mason Church of Christ, Keith enriched the lives of those around him with song leading for many years, sharing his love for music in a way that touched hearts and uplifted spirits. His passion for bluegrass led him to form a band that recorded an album, where he showcased his talents on the guitar, banjo, harmonica, and even began learning the mandolin, always eager to embrace new challenges. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
Keith is survived by his son, Grant Adams; daughter-in-law, Tonya Hines; daughter Joni (Ray Helton) Privett; daughter Teresa (Mark) Chalkley; son Daniel (Melanie) Helton; grandchildren Mandi (Darren) Mullaney, Matthew (Loreli) Privett, Cara (Chris) Harrison, Andrea (Adam) Knorr, Josh (Dustie) Helton, and Natalie (Jonathan) Absher; and a cherished bundle of seventeen great-grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces Sharon (Skip) Ellerbrock, Shauna (Richard) Dammel, and nephews Matthew (Julie) Whitaker, Bill (Madge) Adams, and Larry (Joanne) Adams. Keith was preceded in death by: his wife Shirley Adams, son Chris Adams, niece Lisa Whitaker, brother Earl (Lou) Adams, sister Mildred (Merrill) Whitaker, and parents James B. and Grace Adams.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on December 18, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM, where loved ones will come together to remember Keith and share in the joy of his life. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM, celebrating the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. Burial will take place in Providence Cemetery, Brodhead, Ky.
As we reflect on the memories shared, the laughter echoed, and the music played, we find comfort in knowing that Keith T. Adams's spirit will forever resonate in our hearts and through the songs he loved. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
