I met Keith at the Bluegrass Jam in Marcellus many years ago. We had many enjoyable conversations, including ones about the St. Lawrence and our mutual love of the river. I was so pleased that he was able to fulfill so many goals in his life. He was an accomplished harmonica player and in the "old days" of the jam and used to drive Cora and another friend from Fulton to Marcellus every Friday. When he could no longer drive, he was missed, but a friend brought him to a birthday celebration in his later years where we all were delighted to visit with him.

Keith was my stepfather. He married my mom in 1973 and opened his home to her and 3 boys. Before she married Keith, Mom raised 7 kids by herself and never did anything for herself. Keith changed all of that. He taught her how to drive a car and travelled with her around the state and beyond, including a couple of trips to Boston to see her beloved Red Sox play. I will always be thankful to Keith for giving her a much better life than she had ever known. I look forward to being there for the celebration of life memorial.
