Keith Bigalk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lindstrom Funeral Home - Harmony on Jan. 11, 2026.
Keith Earl Bigalk, age 62, of Canton, MN passed away at his home on January 8, 2026, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer.
Keith was born on May 31, 1963, in Harmony, MN to Arlene (Erickson) and Earl Bigalk. He graduated from Harmony High School in 1981. During his childhood years, he enjoyed spending time at the family roller-skating rink in Harmony, showing Simmental cattle, coon hunting with his dad and grandpa, playing sports and fishing.
In 1985, Keith met the love of his life, Susie Dawley. They were married on July 25, 1988. Together they raised a beautiful daughter, Bobbie Jo. She meant the world to Keith.
Keith spent his career working in construction and with the local 49 union contractors. He took pride in his work and excelled as a dozer operator.
Deer hunting and fishing were two of his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed a good game of euchre and 500. He was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. Keith was a fun loving and overall good guy.
He cherished his time with his daughter and her family, including two very special grandchildren. The grandchildren loved their time with "Papa", especially watching fireworks and fishing.
Keith is survived by his wife Susie, daughter Bobbie Jo (Michael) Steward, grandchildren Luke and Brynn, brothers Kevin (Joyce) Bigalk, Kendall (Theresa) Bigalk, Kory (Kareen) Bigalk and Karl Bigalk, sisters Karolin Lex and Karen Apenhurst (Tim Kimball), uncles Mark (Pat) Bigalk and Raymond (Susan) Bigalk, and an aunt Ruth Johnson. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Arlene Bigalk, grandparents Stella (Brown) and Norman Erickson and Phillipine (Culver) and George Bigalk, uncles Leland Johnson and Milton Bigalk, father and mother in-law Clifford and Betty (Bentley) Dawley and a brother in-law Wayne Dawley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the church. Burial will take place in the Burr Oak Cemetery. Schmelzer (formerly Lindstrom) Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
