Keith M. Duffield

Keith M. Duffield, 88, of Coloma passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, surrounded by his family at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with burial following in Coloma Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Keith was born May 11, 1936, in Watervliet to John and Christina (Bohle) Duffield. He was a millwright for the Watervliet Papermill right out of high school until they permanently closed. Following the paper mill, Keith was a jack-of-all-trades who was always working or tinkering on something, either around his own home or to help someone else. He worked part time for Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet and for Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home and was also a member of the Coloma FOP Lodge 147.

Keith married his high school sweetheart, Grace (Storick) on Feb. 14, 1960, at Salem Lutheran Church and together they built a loving home on Paw Paw Lake. He and Grace traveled all over the United States with their fifth wheel, following traveling softball teams and vacationing, with Branson, Mo., being a favorite. He was a wealth of knowledge when it came to fixing, building, hunting and fishing and truly enjoyed getting outside doing what he loved, any chance he could. Keith was a loving and supportive husband, dad and grandpa, being in the stands cheering at every school and sporting event or being a helping hand with another home project. He will be missed and loved by so many, as he never met a stranger.

Keith is survived by his wife, Grace; children: Bryan (Tara) Duffield, Allison (Rob) Harper and Jeffry (Donna) Duffield; twin brother, Kaye Duffield and grandchildren: Kendyl (Nate) Adams, Madyson (Matt) Voit and Parker Duffield. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren: Everly and Kayde Adams and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Roslyn (Ralph) Hanson, Shirley (Albert) Siver and many other extended family members.
