Keith Daniel Forsberg was born with his twin brother April 5, 1955 to Harold and Eline Forsberg at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He grew up on the family farm near Hardwick, Minnesota and attended school in Hardwick, Luverne, and Willmar, MN. He graduated in 1974 and returned to Hardwick to farm and raise cattle with his dad. Keith was united in marriage to Sherry Day April 7, 1984 in Luverne. The couple moved to Hardwick and was blessed with two children, Zachary and Zoe. The family moved to Luverne in 1997. Keith struggled with schizophrenia since his mid-teens, and in later years he also developed dementia and Parkinson’s. He was able to enjoy his life at home, living a simple life with his wife, kids, and pets. In earlier years Keith helped his dad farm till his dad retired in 1996. He also worked for Ehde Mink Ranch during winters while farming. He started working there full time after farming ceased, till Ehdes sold the mink ranch in 2008. He loved working with Art and Elmer; they were the best bosses he could ever find. After the mink farm closed he became disabled due to his schizophrenia. In October 2025, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer and his health deteriorated quickly. On Sunday, November 9, 2025 Keith died at his home in Luverne at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 4 days.

Keith is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sherry; children, Zachary (Marci) Forsberg of Luverne, Zoé Forsberg of Luverne; siblings, Rodney (Aleta) Forsberg, Duane Forsberg, Jeanette (Dean) Ricter and Joyce Jacobson; sister-in-law, Dianne Forsberg; brother-in-law David (Nancy) Day; sisters-in-law, Jody Newcomer and Peggy (Bruce) Carlson and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Eline; twin brother Ken; father-in-law, Darwin Day, mother-in-law, Shirley Day; sister-in-law, Linda Forsberg; brother-in-law, Kevin Jacobson and in-laws, Nancy (Verlyn) Anspach, Gary Day, Dennis Day and Terry Newcomer.
