Keith Alan Menz, 64, of Columbia, died on Saturday, July 15, 2023. Born in Park Rapids, Minnesota, on November 30, 1958, he was a son of the late Clyde Ronald and Beverly Moore Menz. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading Western Books. Mr. Menz served in the United States Army from March of 1981 to March of 1990 and later retired from Shakespeare in 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Lynne Menz; son, Christopher Alan Menz (Monsonna); sisters-in-law, Teresa Leitner (Howard), Wendy Averill, and Helen Williams; brother-in-law, James Hagood; nieces and nephews, James Hagood, Jr., Angie Ratke (Tony), Sherri Williams, Tia Rindfleisch, Jennifer Mann (Chris), Latasha Bagley, Lara Kiefer (Jon), Matthew Williams, Jenna Ratke, Jordan Ratke, Elijah Williams, Anna Evans, Nevaeh Colton and Jaxson Bagley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Clyde Menz, Russell George Menz, and Phillip Dean Menz; and son, Justin Adam Menz.
The service for Mr. Menz will be held at 12:30 o'clock, Friday, July 21st, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. A burial will follow at 2 o'clock, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia.
