Keith was preceded in death by his father Howard Turner, his mother Annie Frances Turner Jones, and brother Reginald "Bay" Turner, and stepfather Charlie Jones. Keith was married to his ex-wife Irene Sterling who is also deceased.
Keith was born at the original Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas, attended the Austin public schools, and graduated from the Albert Johnson High School. After graduation, Keith enlisted in the United States Navy where he served faithfully for 4 years until he was honorably discharged because of a medical condition.
Keith is survived by four sisters Theresa A. Davis (husband Reverend Vennie Davis), Carolis Selman (husband Larry), Charlene Jones, and Lisa Alexander, and one brother Phillip Michael Miller. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends including cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Keith received certification in carpentry from Austin Community College, and held several jobs as a carpenter. Whenever family members needed some work done at their homes, they called upon Keith. One of his most notable projects was the remodeling of the home he shared with Irene.
