It comes with great sadness and a heavy heart to announce that my dearly beloved Husband, Keith Evan Wilson Sr, also known as "Sandwich", ascended into Gods hands in heaven peacefully and quickly on November 22, 2024, at the age of 59. He was a beloved son, a Husband, Father, Brother, Grandpa and Uncle of many. He will be tremendously missed. His presence was such a joy and he filled the room with light, laughter and encouraging inspirational words to all of us.
Keith Evan Wilson wa sborn November 17, 1965 at Baptist Memorial Hospitial in San Antonio Texas, to his father, who preceded him in death in 2017, Edward Joseph Price and Mother Betty Jean Wilson. He was encouraged a young age by his mother to be a great servant for The Lord. They traveled places such as San Fransico and San Deigo California, in which they spent quite some time. Keith, his siblings and cousins were known a the "Determined Eight" as they were spending there time praising the Lord and singing Hymns with the preacher forthe community. Keith would share with me how he had a gift of healing people and how he spent most of their time in church serving the Lord. It was during this time that he gained another nickname, "Preacher Boy". Keith was trained as a blackbelt in Karate, he used his skills while protecting his siblings and cousins from the wiles of the devil while living in these places. "Hero" was another nickname of Keith's, this came from Pamela Williams, who is one of many amazing siblings because he saved her life while she was walkingthrough the valley of the shadow of death. I met Keith in 1985 fresh out of highschool. He wanted a change and was allowed to make to San Antonio, Tx where he lived with his older sisiter Sandra Price and her Spouse Elmo Hartwell Jr, who preceded him in death in 2014. Keith was attending St.Phillips College to obtain a General Education Diploma. We were introduced by his older brother Euwell Price, who preceded him in death in 2020. We had a connection instantously and we started dating. We later found out that his older brother DeWayne (Termite) Price and my older Sister Donna Price Brown were currently married. Keith became my dearest friend and companion. He showed me how to feel loved and our relationship blossomed for 6 years. He was a strong believer in God, and would always say, " Tracy, God is good and he knows our needs." We married in 1991 and one year later had our first son, Keith Evan Wilson Jr. also known as "KJ" who preceded him in death in 2021. We had our daughter Angel Monique Wilson in 1997, and our second son, Joshua Franklin Wilson in 2002.
Keith worked for Fort Sam Houston Commissary when we first met and was there for 3 years. He then started working for Central Freightlines, the City of San Antonio, and Brooke Army Medical Center. He learned how to cook quite well at BAMC and became a fantastic cook and a big eater. He continued to spread the word of God with whomever needed an encouragong word, wheter at work or in he community. He always had a tremendous amount of Faith and never worried about anything. He would always say, "God has us". His wonderful sense of humor and style of dancing will never be forgotten. Keith was the life of every celebration we went to and he made sure of that by chatting with everyone and making us laugh. Keith is imminsely missed already and will ALWAYS hold a very special part of my heart. Keith is more than likely dancing and praising God in heaven with his son Keith Jr. He leaves behind his Mother Betty Jean Price, his Wife Tracy Wilson, his daughter Angel Monique Wilson, his grandkids Cameron Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Nature Wilson and Ezra Smith. He leaves behind his sisters: Debra Polk, Sandra Price, Mary Washington, Pamela Williams and Angela Price. He leaves behind his brothers: Donald Price, Bobby Price and DeWayne Price. Also, a host of neices, nephews, and great neices and nephews. "
Enjoy life, just live day by day as one day your here and the next you're gone" -Keith Evan Wilson Sr.
