Keitrick Sam Obituary
Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Keitrick Cortez Sam, 23, who passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
Fr. Greg Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Kaisley Alexander. The Gift bearers will be DaLaisha Robicheaux and Kennydi Ledet.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Keitrick was a passionate individual deeply connected to his roots in Breaux Bridge, LA. He found joy in various activities, from dancing, playing basketball, playing pool, running track, watching football, especially the Saints and LSU and tending to his beloved animals. He loved the outdoors and would spend most of his time admiring the beauty that God created. He loved his family and spending time with them brought him comfort and a closeness that would last a lifetime.
As we gather to bid farewell to Keitrick, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the legacy of love he leaves behind. May his spirit continue to shine bright in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, John Sam; mother, Michelle Lewis Sam; daughter, Kaia Sam; brothers, Dortavean Jones and Kavonta Demouchet; companion, Jonasia Williams; sister, Kirron Sam; maternal grandparents, Alvin and Mary Lewis; his paternal grandmother, Linda Anderson Sam; his maternal great grandmother, Emily Robicheaux; and a host of aunts, uncles and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Melvin and Loisy Lewis; maternal great grandfather, Linton Robicheaux; paternal great grandmother, Mary Bernice Lewis; paternal grandfather John Sam; and paternal great grandparents, Alex and Ethel Sam.
Pallbearers will be Dortavean Jones, Kavonta Demouchet, Logan Gary, Kobe Anthony, Javion Parker, Cameron Livings, Noah Livings, and Caleb Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daine Lewis, Curley Sam, Terrance Calais, Isaiah Wiltz, Jaden Williams, Ian Williams, Travis Sam, Raymond Gary, Elijah Wiltz, Jiren Raymond, and Treylon Broussard.
