Kellie Twiss
October 10, 1966 - December 6, 2025
FORT ANN - Heaven called another Angel home. Kellie Twiss, age 59, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by family.
Kellie was the daughter of Richard (deceased) and Carol Twiss Yole. She was born on October 10, 1966, in Cambridge, NY. Kellie was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy three years ago. She never let her disability keep her from living her life to the fullest. Kellie touched so many people and not one person could say that meeting her let them down. She put a smile on everyone's face that she had met.
Kellie loved music. You could find her singing with bands at Rick and Carol's Country Side Inn. She loved playing records and tapes, all while singing along and recording her special brand of music. At a banquet held in her honor to raise money for a new bedroom downstairs, she performed "You Ain't Woman Enough" with Flossy Hobbs. Her bow at the end, had the audience on their feet.
Kellie enjoyed "The Dukes of Hazzard" show and Paw Patrol, her favorite character was "Chase". She loved to watch scary movies and reading. Kellie and her mom spent time every night reading together. Such wonderful memories she made.
Kellie's sense of humor was unlike any other. She could take someone completely off guard with some of her "Kellie-isms" as we like to say.
Kellie was predeceased by her father, Richard Twiss, her maternal grandparents Carl and Doretta (Campney) DeLong, her paternal grandparents, Howard and Agnes (Bain) Twiss.
Kellie is survived by her mother, Carol; her step-father, Richard Yole; her aunt, Jane and Uncle "Turkey" Terry Bowen; several nieces and a nephew, many cousins; and her BFF, Sarah Schnabel.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses that helped care for Kellie both in and out of the hospital. A special thank you to Sarah, Kellie's BFF, for her wonderful companionship, care and love she gave to Kellie and her family. Kellie's family would especially like to thank Morris Wells of Fort Ann, who built Kellie her dream bedroom, that she loved so much.
"Dear God, please take care of my little girl.
The one with big eyes and soft dark hair
She was special, as you should know.
I really didn't want to let her go."
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls. Following the calling hours at 6 there will be a funeral service.
A Celebration of Kellie will follow the services at the Elks Lodge on 32 Cronin Road in Queensbury.
