Kelly Bond-Kennedy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Center of Kansas City - Shawnee Mission on Dec. 1, 2025.
Kelly "O" Bond-Kennedy, born September 6, 1960, in Santa Clara, California, passed away on November 22, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Charles William Bond and Rosemary Gail (Swanigan) Bond.

Kelly leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: daughters Jennifer Bopp and Tessa Norton, and son Anthony Murray. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Ashlynn Sheets, Paige Bopp, Drake Bopp, Shaylee Murray, Mae Murray, Bayne Murray, and Brody Norton. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Wrennley, Journee, and Azriel. She is also survived by her sister Christine Jackson, brothers Michael Bond and Shawn Bond, numerous nieces and nephews, and the love of her life, Mark "Buck" Enyeart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Gail Deras; father Charles W. Bond, sisters Charlene "Tessy" Kennedy and Kathleen "Kitty" Mead, brother Patrick Kennedy, and her maternal grandparents/adoptive parents, Robert and Bessie Kennedy.

Kelly had a vibrant spirit and a heart that overflowed with creativity and laughter. She loved writing poetry, spending time with her family, playing music, diving into video games, and collecting anything she believed might be worth money someday. She never met a garage sale she didn't like and was always on the hunt for her next great treasure.

Her sense of humor was unmatched - especially when it came to her love for fart machines, which never failed to make her laugh and those around her smile. Kelly had a way of lighting up a room with her wit, warmth, and true-to-life personality. She was resilient, deeply loving, and unforgettable to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 7th, 2025, from 11:30 am - 2:00 PM. Location is at The American Legion, 16701 E US 40 Hwy, Independence, MO 64055. Anyone who would like to wear purple in her honor is encouraged to do so.

Kelly's memory will live on in the laughter she sparked, the poems she wrote, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.
