Kelly J. Smith, 61, passed away on September 3, 2021. She was born on November 4, 1959 to the late Arthur Eugene and Iva Lorene (Ratliff) Smith. Kelly was a 1978 graduate of Franklin Community High School. She had been employed by the United States Postal Service for 31 years.
Kelly enjoyed spending time with her family. She always enjoyed being the hostess and loved serving all. She enjoyed cooking and was very proud of her ribs. She loved gathering with everyone on the Fourth of July and her fireworks show.
Kelly is survived by her loving spouse, April Brown; her son Garrett Brown-Smith; and two step daughters, Erika Fox (Matt) and Tawny Hagy. Her sisters, Brenda Jones Matthews (Jack) and Beth Ann Smith (Vicki). Also surviving are grandchildren; Brooklynn Bowman, Emily Fox and Charlee Fox. Her dear nieces and nephews; Travis Hayes, Amy Fisher, Jason Jones, Billy Jones and Ryland Crabb. She also left behind her two fur babies; Holly Jean and Miller Man.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
