Kemari Antonio (Mar Mar) Carr was born on January 12, 2002, in Decatur, IL, the son of LaKendra Lee and Antonio Carr.
Mar Mar was a graduate of MacArthur High School, where he left an indelible mark on his classmates and teachers alike. Not one to settle for mediocrity, Kemari furthered his education by completing the EnRich program, proving that he was a man dedicated to personal growth and success.
Mar Mar was dedicated to his work as a Core Cleaner and Inspector at Mueller, where he made an impact with his diligence and attention to detail. In his free time, Kemari had a deep passion for sports. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, LA Clippers, and Lakers, and his enthusiasm for the game was infectious. Kemari found joy in watching sports and cheering on his favorite teams.
Outside of his professional and sporting endeavors, Kemari was a devoted family man. He cherished the moments spent with his loved ones and understood the importance of building strong family bonds. Kemari's infectious laughter and magnetic presence made every family gathering a memorable and joyous occasion.
Kemari leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He will forever be held in the hearts of his parents, Antonio (TaKamia) Carr and LaKendra Lee, who nurtured him and guided him throughout his life. He also leaves his grandparents, Kenny Lee, Doris Lee, Parnell Simoneaux, Rosalind Brady, and Carla Caradine, as well as his great grandmother, Ann Brady; his brothers, Amaries Lee and Kaiden Carr; his sisters, ZaKarria Lee, Kaia Carr, Avani Carr, and Aubriel Carr; his girlfriend, O'Nei Jackson, uncles, Parnell (Amber) Carr, Vontrell Carr, Cody Carr, Donte Jones, Deangelo (Charmaine) Stoner, Malik Freeman, and Daquan Simoneaux; special uncles, Billy (Robin) Lee, Fred Lee Sr, Danny Tyus, and Darren Tyus and his aunts, Angel Lee, Shanese Brady, Safyia Simoneaux, Kataria Simoneaux, and Zyneshia Stewart, will carry his spirit with them always. Kemari's impact extended beyond his family, as he had a loyal circle of friends, Tee Andre Woodland, Letrell Phillips, Payton May, Ben May, Derimus Golden Jr., Kari Teliferro, Jeffrey White, Derron Phillips, Xandre Jarrett and Jaheim Campbell were not just friends, they were his brothers, united by a bond that could never be broken.
As we bid farewell to Kemari, we also remember his beloved uncles, Ira C. Lee and Markeith Tyus, grandmother, Teresa Carr, who preceded him in death.
