Kendra Anna Marie Smith, age 43, transitioned peacefully on December 3, 2025. She was born on August 12, 1982, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Kendra was the cherished daughter of the late Kenneth Ray Smith, the late Deborah A. Smith, and Jessie Lee Worthen. Her life was marked by love, faith, and quiet strength that touched all who knew her.

Kendra was a devoted member of the House of Prayer for All People Outreach Mission, where she worshiped faithfully under the leadership of Pastor Rosie Evans and Deacon Charles Evans. Her commitment to God and her church family was evident through her gentle spirit and kind heart.

She attended Gulfport High School and worked faithfully at First Student until her health began to decline. Kendra was known for her dedication, resilience, and loving nature, especially toward her family.

She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John Young and Anna Marie Smith; her paternal uncles, Howard Smith and Alexander Smith; her paternal aunt, Victoria Young; and her brother-in-law, Keith Lawson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted father, Jessie Lee Worthen; her loving husband of 20 years, Keijon Johnson; and her four children-Da'Quon Smith, Keshaun Smith Johnson, Keaisa Johnson, and Keiyon Johnson-who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Etoyi K. Smith (Kiesha); her sisters, April Curtis (Gerald), Shambrica Jones, and Jerica Smith; two uncles, Wayne Allen Smith and Solomon Smith; and one aunt, Luella Young-Banks.

Additionally, she leaves to cherish her memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, her honorary sister Stacy Gooden-Crandle, her Godfather Kenny Holmes Sr., and her loving church family at the House of Prayer for All People Outreach Mission.

Kendra's life, though marked by trials, was filled with faith, love, and perseverance. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her and were blessed to know her.
