Kendra Kay "Miller" Schutte

Kendra Kay (Miller) Schutte, 52, entered the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 28, 1973, in Louisville, Kentucky, Kendra was the cherished daughter of the late John Jr. and Anna (Kamber) Miller. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joseph C. Schutte III; her brothers-in-law, Brian Schutte and Keith Dailey. Kendra is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, Michael Schutte, and their beloved children, Cody and Bailey Schutte. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: Steve Miller (Donna), Tuffy Miller (Anita), Bobby Miller (Debra), Mark Miller (Sarah), Kim Carter (Bobby), Krissy Miller (Janet Smallwood), Kelli Jeffrey (Alan), and Karla Dailey; along with countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, godchildren, extended family, and dear friends. To her family, Kendra was a devoted wife and mother. To others, she was a caring sister, aunt, godmother, and "KK" to many. Her love knew no bounds, and her presence was a gift to everyone blessed to know her. Following her cancer diagnosis in 2018, Kendra dedicated herself to supporting others through Fillies Blankets of Hope and the United Breast Cancer Foundation. Even in her most difficult days, she was a true fighter, facing her journey with grace, courage, and unwavering compassion. Selfless and strong, she always put others before herself. Kendra's kindness, strength, and light will be deeply missed but forever remembered. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held Monday, September 29, from 12:00–8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Shirley's Way in Kendra's honor.
